McKenzie believes that now is the time to identify needed elements and work together on bringing services that will complement the city’s tone and provide new opportunities, especially for youth.

As a physical trainer at the center and cheerleader coach for Freedom High School, McKenzie is regularly reminded of these needs and wants. There should be something for everyone, she said.

It has always been my desire to be an asset to my community and teach my children the benefits of a tremendous work ethic that leaves you proud of the legacy that you leave. At the end of the day, it’s important that you value your quality of life enough to put forth the effort and set the example that is so contagious that there is buy-in and cooperation from the rest of community.
